Omask 1:48 Bf 109 E-1 and E-3 double-sided masking set covers the glazing of a model from both sides, so the framing looks clean from the outside and from the inside.

This is a masking set for a kit, not a model of an airplane. The double-sided form means that the sheet contains masks for both sides of the glazing, so the frame can also be painted as seen looking into the cockpit. That is useful above all on models with an open canopy, where clear glass without an inner frame would be visible. For the same type the same maker also makes a simpler single-sided variant.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 E, nicknamed Emil, is an early production version of the German fighter with an angularly framed cockpit canopy. The E-1 and E-3 variants differ from each other above all in armament and have the same glazing shape, which is why the maker covers both with one sheet. On this subject the broken-up framing of the canopy is traditionally the most laborious part of the painting.
Wash and degrease the glazing, and do not touch it with your fingers. Transfer the masks with tweezers and press the edges down with a blunt tool. Stick the inner masks on before the canopy is glued into the model. Spray the frame first with the interior color and then with the exterior shade, always in thin coats. Lift the mask while the paint is fresh. The angular frame of the Emil forgives less than rounded cockpits, so offer each piece up dry first.
The set contains masking parts only. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
