A plastic kit of the light Soviet Antonov An-14 Pchelka aircraft in 1:144 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer Amodel. It is a short-run injection-molded model, meant rather for more experienced modelers. It is built from plastic parts and completed with decal markings according to the instructions.
The An-14 Pchelka (meaning little bee) was a twin-engine light multi-purpose aircraft with short takeoff and landing characteristics. It was designed for operating from small, unpaved strips, for carrying people and cargo and for agricultural and liaison duties. Under the NATO code it carried the name Clod and it became the forerunner of the more capable turboprop An-28.
The small parts and the struts of this high-wing aircraft call for careful cleaning up and fitting. Mask the glazed cockpit, and use a base color and an airbrush on the surfaces. Apply a gloss coat before the decals and even the finish out at the end with a matte or semi-gloss coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The glue, the paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
