Decals 1:144 for the North American B-25 Mitchell bomber. Three schemes of markings: two machines with a solid gun nose from a Pacific group and one aircraft in US Marine Corps colors.
Responsibility details are not available.
The version designated with the letter H gave up the glazed tip and replaced it with a solid front, into which a 75 mm cannon fitted, supplemented by a battery of .50 caliber machine guns. An aircraft armed in this way attacked vessels and coastal targets from low altitude, where a single accurate hit was meant to serve the crews better than a scattered carpet of bombs. Two of the three schemes on this sheet belong to exactly such machines, which the supplier assigns to a group operating in the Pacific in 1943.
The third scheme goes to an aircraft listed under the naval designation given to Mitchells handed over to the US Marine Corps. The supplier gives the same machine with a civil registration as well, and with its membership of an association that keeps wartime aircraft airworthy. The model can therefore be built in two guises, in combat form or as it looks in a museum today, depending on which layer of history you want to show.
Cut the backing up by individual pieces of artwork so that the whole sheet does not get wet. Give the model a gloss coat, let the artwork loosen in lukewarm water and move it into place with a damp brush. In the chosen scale the lettering on the nose is at the limit of legibility, so handle it with flat-jawed tweezers and adjust the position while the backing is still wet.
A printed sheet with a list of the individual schemes is supplied. The bomber kit, paints and clear coat have to be obtained separately, because the package does not contain these items.
