An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:144 scale from Amodel. It captures the de Havilland Canada DHC-5 Buffalo in the C-8A configuration in service with the US Army. The small scale suits collectors and display cabinet collections. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The DHC-5 Buffalo is a Canadian twin-engine turboprop transport aircraft with a high-mounted wing, a pronounced rear fuselage with a cargo ramp and short takeoff and landing (STOL) capability. The C-8A version was operated by the US Army as a tactical transport machine for carrying cargo and people from short, unpaved strips. The aircraft stands out for its toughness and its ability to operate from demanding terrain.
Thin plastic cement and careful cleaning up of the joints work best. Apply a primer before painting; an airbrush is ideal. Mask the cockpit and the clear parts, and the panel lines can be brought out with a light wash shade.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The glue, the paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
