An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:144 scale from Amodel. It represents the Canadian postwar configuration of the four-engine Avro Lancaster in the 10MR version. The small scale suits collectors and display cabinet collections. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Avro Lancaster was a British four-engine heavy bomber of the Second World War, which became one of the best known aircraft of its class. After the war a number of machines were operated in Canada and converted for new roles. The 10MR version served for maritime reconnaissance and search duties. The aircraft was notable for its long range and its roomy airframe.
Thin plastic cement and careful cleaning up of the joints work best, and on a four-engine aircraft pay attention to the seating of the engine nacelles. Apply a primer before painting; an airbrush is ideal. Mask the clear parts, and the panel lines can be brought out with a light wash shade.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The glue, the paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
