Brengun 1:144 Canberra B-57A/RB-57A, B.Mk.20/62 and T.17 is a replacement clear canopy for a plastic kit, not an aircraft model. It replaces the thick or cloudy kit part with a thin, clear one.
Responsibility details are not available.
This item is not a kit but a separate clear part from the Czech maker Brengun. According to the name it covers several versions of the Canberra family, that is the American B-57A and the reconnaissance RB-57A as well as the British and export versions B.Mk.20 and B.Mk.62 and the T.17 trainer, and it is cut for the A-Model plastic kit.
The Canberra was a British twin-engine jet bomber and reconnaissance design from the late 1940s that served in many countries for decades thanks to its high ceiling and decent endurance. In the United States it gave rise to the licensed B-57 family, in which the layout of the cockpit changed fundamentally. That is exactly why the shape of the canopy differs between models of the individual versions and a replacement clear part makes sense.
The clear part is vacuum-formed over a mold and has to be cut out of the sheet. A proven procedure: trace the outline all the way round with a fine alcohol marker, cut it out roughly with a margin using scissors, and then run the part over abrasive paper laid on a flat board until you reach the line exactly. Check the fit on the fuselage dry as you go. Before gluing, the part can be dipped briefly in a gloss acrylic varnish, which fills fine scratches and brightens the material. It is glued with a cement for clear parts that will not cloud the surface, or with a minimum of gel super glue away from the visible area.
The part is an accessory to a plastic kit, which it does not include. Glue, paints and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
