It is not a separate kit but a set of fine photo-etched metal parts completed with a film carrying a color instrument panel, which raises the fidelity of the finished model. It is made by the Ukrainian brand Metallic Details.
The McDonnell Douglas MD-11 is a three-engine wide-body airliner, the development continuation of the DC-10 type with a lengthened fuselage and modernized engines. In its era it served in passenger as well as freight transport all over the world and can be recognized by the third engine built into the base of the vertical tail.
The photo-etched parts make more accurate the small exterior features that stand out at a small scale, and the enclosed film gives the cockpit a color instrument panel. Separate the parts with a sharp knife, bend the metal sections over a ruler and glue them with cyanoacrylate; before painting, degrease the metal and apply a primer.
This is an aftermarket accessory. The basic model, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
