An injection-molded plastic kit of the French Dewoitine D.520 fighter in the miniature 1:144 scale from Brengun. The small but detailed kit holds the plastic parts, a clear canopy part and a decal sheet. The small scale will appeal to collectors of larger collections and to builders of aircraft display cases with limited room.
The Dewoitine D.520 was the most capable French production fighter at the time of the fall of France in 1940. It was powered by a Hispano-Suiza V12 engine and armed with a cannon firing through the propeller hub, backed up by machine guns. Although it was a match for its contemporaries, it reached the fighting late and in small numbers. Later it also served with further users.
In 1:144 scale handle the tiny parts with particular care, use tweezers and apply thin plastic cement in minimal amounts. Sand the seams with fine abrasive paper. We recommend thin coats of primer and paint from an airbrush so that the fine detail does not disappear; lay down a gloss clear coat before the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
