An injection-molded plastic kit of the American North American F-86F-30 Sabre jet fighter in 1:144 scale from Trumpeter. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The F-30 designation refers to the production subvariant of the F-86F with the so-called solid leading edge; take the exact contents of the box from the enclosed instructions.
The F-86 Sabre was the first American production fighter with a swept wing and became an icon of the early jet era. It won its fame above all in the Korean War, where it met opposing jet fighters in combat. The F-86F version was the high-performance day fighter variant; the F-30 subvariant brought modified wing leading edges without slats (the 6-3 wing), which improved maneuverability at high speeds.
In 1:144 scale the parts are small, so clean them up carefully with a sharp knife. Mask and polish the cockpit glazing before spraying. The natural metal finish of the Sabre is built with a metallic paint over a perfectly smooth base, applied at the very end; different shades of metal on individual panels will give the model life. Apply the decals over a gloss base so that they do not silver.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
