A model of the Japanese Kokusai Ta-Go aircraft in 1:144 scale. A small item for a display case; glue and paints are needed to build it.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Ta-Go is a Japanese aircraft from the period of the Second World War, listed under the name of the Kokusai manufacturing company. You will not find it among the machines that reached series production and public awareness, and that is exactly why it tends to be a welcome addition to a collection: beside the usual types it catches the attention simply because a visitor to the display case does not know it. The model is in 1:144 scale, so it takes up only a little shelf space and sits well with other aircraft of the same scale.
A small scale makes the work easier in some respects and harder in others. There tend to be few parts, but each of them is tiny, so it pays to work over a surface with a raised rim and to have tweezers at hand. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder carefully; snapped off blind, a small part is easily deformed. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts and apply it in a really small amount, with the tip of a toothpick. Try the joints dry first.
In a scale this small a saturated shade looks darker than it would on the real aircraft, so lightening the color somewhat proves itself. Be restrained with dirt and traces of use: what looks subtle in a larger scale quickly covers the shape here. Wash and degrease the model before painting.
Paints, glue and other modeling supplies are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
