An injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary radar patrol and early warning aircraft Lockheed EC-121 Warning Star in 1:144 scale. The model captures the characteristic triple tail as well as the large radomes above and below the fuselage. The package holds plastic parts, decals and instructions.
The EC-121 Warning Star was created by converting the Lockheed Super Constellation airliner into a flying radar station. It carried powerful radars in large housings and served for the long-range surveillance of airspace and sea areas. It operated with the US Air Force and the Navy from the 1950s and, in successive versions, stayed in active service until the 1970s.
Pay attention to gluing the large fuselage parts and the radomes cleanly so that no steps form in the joints. The natural metal look of transport and patrol aircraft is brought out by metallic paints on a smooth, glossy ground. Settle the extensive decal areas onto gloss varnish so that silvering does not occur.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
