A resin set of wheels for models of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 in the early versions A to F in 1:144 scale. It is not a kit of the aircraft but an accessory that replaces the wheels from a plastic kit. In a small scale it is the wheels that most give away the origin of a model, because the plastic part tends to be split, with a mold parting line across the tread and a softly molded hub. According to the name there are two sets in the package.
The casting carries its detail in a single piece, so there is no gluing of halves and no sanding of a seam across the tire. Both the tread and the hub stay crisp even after spraying, and the model sits on its base more accurately. On the early versions of the Bf 109 the wheel is a distinctive recognition feature, which is why the swap tells even on so small a model.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water so that no mold release agent is left on the surface. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a knife and finish the surface with a file, and do not inhale the sanding dust. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, as ordinary cement for plastic does not hold on resin. Apply a primer before painting, work the tire up in dark gray rather than pure black and separate the hub with masking fluid or with careful brushwork.
It is an accessory for a kit, not a model in its own right. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
