An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet and Russian Mikoyan MiG-29 fighter in 1:144 scale from Zvezda. The model is laid out as an easy snap-together build in which the parts hold by clipping, so no glue is needed. Even so, glue is worth using for firmer, cleaner joints. The package contains a clear part for the canopy and decals, and the model captures the characteristic shapes of the aircraft faithfully.
The Mikoyan MiG-29 is a twin-engine frontline fighter developed in the Soviet Union, which entered service in the 1980s. It is marked by excellent agility, powerful engines and the characteristic air intakes on the sides of the fuselage. The MiG-29 became one of the most widespread fighters of its generation and still serves in a number of countries around the world.
Thanks to its easy design the model suits beginners and a quick build. For firmer joints we nevertheless recommend liquid cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting and lay the colors on with an airbrush; a small model in 1:144 scale repays subtle shades and restrained panel emphasis. It is worth masking the canopy glazing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
