Usage tips

Mount the base on a flat board of cardboard, plywood or rigid foam, otherwise the edges will ripple. Apply the glue thinly and evenly or use double-sided tape; smooth the area from the center outward so that no bubbles form. The taxi stripe gives the scene its direction — stand the model so that the stripe runs along the longitudinal axis of the aircraft, and the result then looks natural. Protect the print from damp and direct sun. Small accessories such as figures of personnel or ground equipment will round the scene off without much work. If you are building more than one model, it pays to use the same mounting and framing throughout — the whole display case then reads as one whole and the individual models do not compete visually. Do not fix a model to the base permanently until you have tried how it looks turned in relation to the stripe and the light; double-sided tape holds well enough and comes off without damaging the print.
