Mark I 1:144 Spanish Nationalist Insignia is a sheet of waterslide decals with the markings of the aircraft of the Nationalist side from the Spanish Civil War, in five diameters and in two sets.

A sheet of waterslide decals in 1:144 scale intended to finish a model that is already built; it is neither a kit nor an accessory to one particular box. It holds the markings carried by the aircraft of the Nationalist side during the Spanish Civil War in the years 1936 to 1939. The diameters match the real dimensions of 700, 800, 1000, 1200 and 1400 mm, that is roughly 4.9 to 9.7 mm on the model. According to the name there are two sets on the sheet.
The Spanish Civil War is interesting from a modeling point of view because machines of many origins met in it, and it is often the markings alone that tell a model apart from an otherwise identical aircraft in another service. The sheet is therefore not tied to one type: a size range with five diameters covers smaller single-engine machines as well as larger twin-engine ones, on which the insignia was considerably larger in area. Derive the choice of size from the dimension of the area the decal will go on, not from the size of the model as a whole.
In 1:144 scale the largest decals on this sheet are among the more demanding in area, so think the placement out in advance and mark the position lightly with a soft pencil if you wish. The surface must be smooth and glossy; matte paint leads to a silvery haze under the film. Cut the decal out close to the printing, soak it briefly, slide it onto the model over a layer of water and align it before the adhesive starts to set. Press the excess water out from the center with a cotton bud. On the curved areas of the wing and over engraving use a softener and let the decal dry undisturbed, as a bubble you touch too soon usually tears. Finally even the model out with a matte varnish.
This is a decal sheet, not a kit. The model, paints and modeling chemicals are not included in the package.
