An injection-molded plastic kit of the Russian Sukhoi Su-34 strike and attack aircraft (Fullback in the code designation) in 1:144 scale from Trumpeter. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The kit captures the characteristic flattened nose and the cockpit with side-by-side seats; take the exact contents of the box and the choice of stores from the enclosed instructions.
The Su-34 is a Russian twin-engine strike aircraft derived from the Su-27 fighter family. It is marked by a roomy armored cockpit with two crew members seated side by side and by a flat nose, which earned it the nickname duckbill. It is intended above all for attacks on ground targets, while thanks to its origins it retains the ability to fight in the air. It carries a wide range of underwing stores and serves as a modern frontline bomber.
In 1:144 scale the parts are small, so clean them up carefully with a sharp knife. Mask the cockpit glazing before spraying. Spray the base over a primer with thinned paints; lay the camouflage scheme down with an airbrush in coats. Emphasize the panel lines with a thin wash. Paint the underwing stores separately and fit them at the very end; apply the decals over a gloss base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
