A resin kit of the German light off-road car Kübelwagen Type 82 in 1:144 scale from the manufacturer Armory. Thanks to the tiny scale the car is an excellent accessory to airfield dioramas with aircraft in 1:144 and to miniature scenes with hardware of the Second World War. This is a kit in resin, suitable rather for more experienced modelers.
The Kübelwagen Type 82 came about on the basis of the KdF car (the later Volkswagen Beetle) to a design by the design office of Ferdinand Porsche. The light open car with an air-cooled flat-four engine at the rear was simple, reliable and light — thanks to its low weight it did surprisingly well off the road even without all-wheel drive. It served on every front of the Second World War as a liaison, staff and reconnaissance car, and several tens of thousands of them were built.
Separate the small parts from the casting blocks with a sharp knife or a fine saw and work with tweezers. Before painting, wash the castings free of mold release agent, glue with super glue and spray on a surfacer. According to the chosen period, an overall gray Panzergrau suggests itself, or the later dark yellow with camouflage; a fine wash will bring the pressings of the body out.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
