This model from the Japanese brand Hasegawa treats the so-called third ship Arcadia in the form with enhanced armament. It is an injection-molded plastic kit intended to be assembled and painted, not a finished collector's replica.
The Arcadia is the flagship of Captain Harlock, a character from the work of the Japanese author Leiji Matsumoto. The ship joins the silhouette of an old sailing vessel with a spacecraft: a tall stern with living quarters, a long hull with gun positions along the sides and, on the bow, a skull, the crew's emblem. The version designated as the third ship differs from the older forms in the arrangement of the superstructures and the placement of the guns.
The hull is the largest surface of the model, so it is worth giving time to cleaning up the parting planes and filling the seams. Tie the base together with a primer and spray the main shade with an airbrush in thin coats. Paint the small turrets, masts and superstructures separately and fit them at the end, otherwise they are hard to mask. The scribed lines stand out when, once dry, you go over them with a dark tone that runs into the hollows.
The model comes unassembled and without a finish. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
