This is not a kit but a finished collector model in 1:72 scale from Dragon. You get it assembled, painted and with markings, so all you have to do is unpack it and stand it in a display case. The subject is the M4A3E8 Sherman medium tank as it served with the 25th Infantry Division in the area of the Han River in Korea in 1951. Being set in a particular place and time makes the model a rewarding piece in a collection focused on the Korean War.
The M4A3E8, nicknamed the Easy Eight, is a late form of the American Sherman medium tank. It combines the M4A3 hull with the Ford GAA gasoline engine, the HVSS suspension with horizontal springs and wide tracks, and a turret with the longer 76 mm gun. The wide tracks and the paired road wheels visibly changed both the silhouette of the machine and its behavior in rough ground: it got a smoother ride and moved better on soft going. In Korea the Easy Eight was among the most widespread American tanks and fought there for several years after the Second World War.
The model is meant for display, not for play. It does best in a display case or on a shelf out of direct sunlight, because sunlight shifts the shade of the applied paints over time. Remove dust with a soft brush or blow it off; a cloth could wipe the fine markings off and damage small parts. In 1:72 scale the model matches the size of the other collector models in the same range.
The model is supplied finished, assembled and painted. It is not a kit.
