Splash Mud Textures - Dark Brown 30 ml (Green Stuff World)

This dark brown paste from the Splash Mud Textures line is ready for use straight from the 30 ml container. It serves for making splashes and spatter on a model, not a continuous area on the ground. The dark tone matches freshly waterlogged soil after rain and holds a strong contrast over a lighter finish, so it shows even from a distance in a cabinet.

Where a splash belongs

Mud does not fly at random. It stays behind the wheels and tracks, on the lower parts of the fenders, on the sides of the body roughly up to the height of the wheel, on the steps and footboards and on the trouser legs and boots of figures. If you are building a scene with a muddy track, this shade can be combined with a lighter brown, and that gives you a depth one coat cannot.

Use

• Stir the paste and load it onto an older brush with bristles that hold their shape.
• Create the splashes by drawing a toothpick across the bristles, working from below upward and from the rear forward.
• Try the shape and the density on paper first, and only then go to the model.
• Work in layers, let each one dry and build the density up gradually.
• Cover the areas that are to stay clean with paper or tape.
• Clean the tools immediately after work, as dried paste comes off them far less easily.

Who the paste is for

It will be reached for by a modeler building vehicles in autumn or spring terrain, by a diorama builder with a muddy track and by a player who wants figures matched to their bases. The work is quick and the shade is mixed by the manufacturer, so even a beginner will take it on. An advanced modeler uses it as the final layer that ties a model to its scene.

Keep out of the reach of children, work on a protected surface and wash your hands afterward. Store the container well closed, so that the paste does not dry out.
