The Leopard 1 was a German main battle tank that became the backbone of the armored forces of a number of NATO states during the Cold War. It was armed with the 105 mm L7 gun. The A5 version brought a modernized turret with an advanced fire control system and additional armor. The Canadian C2 version grew out of a similar modernization standard and served with the Canadian army, among other places on peacekeeping and training missions. Thanks to its versatility the model covers several operators at once.
First decide on the variant (1A5 or C2) and choose the matching parts according to the instructions. Assemble and paint the running gear and the individual track links before the hull is finished. Apply a primer and the paints with an airbrush and lay the decals over a gloss coat. Bring the panel lines and the details to life with a wash and complete the weathering with pigments for dust and mud effects. Paint the figure separately.
