A turned barrel for the 2 cm gun of the Pz.Kpfw. II in 1:16 scale from the Polish maker Aber. A metal replacement for a large scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A turned metal gun barrel of two centimeter caliber for the German Pz.Kpfw. II light tank in the Ausf. A to F versions, in 1:16 scale. In a large scale a plastic barrel is especially conspicuous: the mold parting line, the thickness of the wall at the muzzle and the slightest bend are visible at first glance. A metal part removes those troubles all at once.
The Pz.Kpfw. II was a German light tank armed with an automatic gun of two centimeter caliber and a machine gun. For a tank this armament was weak, but against light armored vehicles and infantry in the open it was sufficient, and its high rate of fire made it an effective weapon. In the first years of the war the vehicle made up a substantial part of German tank units.
Degrease the metal before gluing and dry fit the seating. Glue it with cyanoacrylate glue or two-part epoxy, because cement for plastic will not join metal. Apply a primer to the metal, otherwise the coat will rub off. In a large scale it is recommended to darken the muzzle and go over the barrel lightly with graphite, so that the metal reads as used rather than as a new product.
The set is an accessory to a kit and does not replace the kit. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
