The French helmet M15 in 1:16 scale, the form designated as detailed, is an accessory for a figure, not a figure on its own. You put it on a figure's head or lay it loose into a scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
This accessory belongs to a figure in the large 1:16 scale. The same helmet is made in two forms, a basic one and one designated as detailed, and this is the detailed one. It is neither a figure nor a kit; you get the helmet on its own for fitting or for laying loose into a scene.
The French steel helmet M15, commonly called the Adrian, has a shallow spherical shell, a crest fitted over the crown and a flanged rim with a short peak at the front and the rear. A number of armies used it and it lasted in service for decades, so it finds a use with figures of the First as well as the Second World War and with interwar and postwar scenes.
Cut the casting residue off with a fine saw, sand the surface of the cut down and wash the part in lukewarm water with a detergent. With resin castings that rids the surface of the release agent, which would otherwise keep the paint off the material. It is glued with super glue; with a larger mating surface reach for a gel variant. Then a primer comes in turn. The large 1:16 scale forgives little, so look the surface over against the light before painting and even any bubbles or grooves out with a modeling compound and sand them over. While painting, set the shell, the crest, the chin strap and the inner liner apart, put a wash into the rim and go over the edges with a dry brush. Close with a matte varnish, leaving only the leather parts slightly satin.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without a figure. Glue, paints and the figure are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
