The German helmet M16 in 1:16 scale is an accessory for a figure, not a kit and not a finished figure. You fit it onto a figure's head or use it as a loose object in a diorama.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory for a figure in the large 1:16 scale. You get the helmet on its own, which you put on a figure's head, or lay into a scene beside it. It is neither a model nor a figure but a small part with which the headgear of a figure can be changed or a scene completed with a small prop.
The steel helmet M16 is the German helmet introduced in the course of the First World War. Characteristic of it are the deep shell drawn out over the nape and over the ears and the pair of cylindrical lugs at the sides, which served for attaching an additional frontal plate and for ventilation. Its shape determined the form of German helmets for the next twenty years, and with small modifications it was used after the war in a number of other armies as well.
Cut the casting residue off with a fine saw, sand the surface down and wash the part in lukewarm water with a detergent, so that no release agent stays on the surface. Once dry, super glue and a primer come in turn. In a large scale the texture of the surface stands out, so after the base shade let the shading do the work, put a wash into the pressing around the rim and at the side lugs and accentuate the edges carefully with a dry brush. Paint the leather chin strap and the inner liner separately, otherwise the helmet comes across as a single casting. Leave the worn paint on the exposed edges until the very end, as it is easily lost under a matte varnish.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without a figure. Glue, paints and the figure are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
