Firma49 1:16, German 15 l jerrycan

An accurate 3D-printed resin model of the German 15 liter jerrycan in 1:16 scale. It serves as a diorama accessory to large-scale vehicles and figures; it is not a kit of a vehicle.

The real subject

Smaller German portable cans were used in the Second World War for fuel as well as water and complemented the widespread standard 20 liter type. The distinctive pressed shape with handles made them easy to carry.

Use

  • Wash the parts, cut off the print supports and sand the surfaces if needed.
  • Before working it, resin can be warmed in hot water to keep it from shattering.
  • It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue; apply a primer before painting.
