A sheet of modeling decals in 1:16 scale: Panther Ausf. A with the tactical number 424. A large format accessory for a built model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of decals at the large 1:16 scale with the markings of the Pz.Kpfw. V Panther medium tank in the Ausf. A version, tactical number 424. It is not a kit or a finished model but a set of markings for a model you build and paint separately. The 1:16 scale is used for large static models as well as for radio-controlled machines.
The Panther was a medium tank with a long gun barrel and steeply sloped frontal armor. The Ausf. A version is told from the earlier Ausf. D above all by the new turret cupola and the reworked machine gun mounting in the frontal armor of the hull. So lay the markings only on a model on which you have verified these features: the number on the turret is as a rule the most conspicuous element of the whole vehicle.
Apply the clear gloss varnish to the whole side of the turret, not just to the spot under the number. A large decal needs plenty of water: moisten the base properly before sliding it off, let the design float, straighten it and only then squeeze the water out with a soft brush or cloth from the center toward the edges. Use the softeners in two steps: the setting solution on the base before laying, the softener on the laid decal. Across welds and grab handles, prick any bubble with a needle and repeat the drop.
Seal the dry markings with gloss varnish, then unify the surface with a matte or semi-matte varnish. On large models this step is also protection against abrasion. The patina comes last: dust into the gaps, a wash into the engraving, chipping on the edges.
The package contains decals. The kit, paints, varnishes and softeners are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
