WEIKERT DECALS 1:16 Tiger I, vehicle A12, Grossdeutschland 1944 is a decal set for a large model of the German heavy tank. It is an accessory for finishing a model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal set in 1:16 scale from the brand WEIKERT DECALS, tied to the Tiger I heavy tank with the vehicle designation A12 and with a dating to the year 1944. It is an accessory for a model that the customer builds and paints himself; the set in itself contains no plastic or resin parts.
The Tiger I has a spacious slab-sided hull, a large boxy turret and an 88 mm gun. In 1:16 scale the result is a model on which the side of the turret is in itself a large area, so the vehicle designation works on it as a striking element of the whole composition. Vehicle numbers with a letter before the digits really were used by some German formations; check the exact form of the markings on this sheet against the illustration on the packaging.
The decals are applied to a glossy base, but the result is decided only by the final coat. A glossy area around a decal would look out of place on a tank, so once it is dry, and once the lines have been emphasized if you wish, the whole area is sprayed with a matte or semi-gloss varnish. The coat also seals the edge of the decal, unifies it with the surrounding paint and protects it during the later application of pigments and mud effects. Spray in thin coats, because a heavy application of matte over a large area lightens the shade and leaves a white veil. Before the coat, make sure the decal is completely dry, ideally after several hours.
The package contains decals. The model, paints, varnish and softener are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
