Responsibility details are not available.
A reduction of the German mine designated S-mine, made in 1:16 scale. It is a separate modeling accessory, that is a detail intended to complete a finished vehicle model or a diorama. In the large 1:16 scale small things are clearly visible and a scene easily looks empty without them, so finished parts of this kind are among the most rewarding accessories that can be added to a model.
S-mine is the established short designation of a German mine used during the Second World War. In shape it is a fairly small cylindrical body with a fitting on the upper side, which makes it a small but easily recognizable object on a model. In modeling scenes it turns up mainly in engineer subjects, on the beds of supply vehicles, in the open boxes of a field dump and in working scenes with figures.
Wash the part in lukewarm water with detergent and let it dry freely so that the paint holds. After a primer, apply a dark gray or gray-green shade according to the period of the scene. Small objects take surprisingly strong contrast, so do not be afraid of a dark wash in the gaps and a fine dry brush on the edges. Accessories of this type look best in a group, arranged loosely and turned different ways, quite happily half sunk into the ground or covered with a piece of tarpaulin.
