A universal Omask masking sheet with pre-cut stripes 0.8 mm wide, in the version with yellow masking tape. This is not a set cut for one particular kit but a universal set of templates that you reach for every time you need a straight line of constant width on a model. Cutting thin stripes out of self-adhesive tape, where the width changes with literally every cut, is done away with.
A thin stripe of this width suits dividing lines between camouflage fields, narrow borders and lines along panels, decorative stripes on the bodies of cars and motorcycles, framing areas and thin bands of markings. You use it everywhere a strip cut by hand would not hold a constant width and the line would visually wander on the model. Because the masks are universal, they serve across scales and kinds of equipment, that is, on aircraft, vehicles, ships and accessories for figures.
The substrate has to be clean, degreased and perfectly dry; do not stick a mask onto fresh paint. Take a stripe off the sheet with tweezers or the tip of a scalpel, lay it in place and only then press it down gradually along its whole length; on gentle curves work in short sections so that the line does not ripple. Press the edges down carefully, for instance with a wooden toothpick, so that no paint runs under them. Spray several thin coats instead of one heavy one and lead the airbrush at right angles to the surface. Take the mask off slowly and at an angle to the surface as soon as the paint has set.
Omask offers the same motif in two masking media: as Oramask masking film and as yellow masking tape. The variant on this item is the one with yellow masking tape. The shape and the dimensions are the same for both, the medium differs, so choose according to what you are used to working with at the bench.
Paints, thinners and tools are not included in the package.
