This is an accessory set, not a kit of the aircraft. The contents are resin main landing gear wheels for a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 in 1:48 scale, specifically in the early guise matching a tire 650 x 150 mm in size. It was precisely this size that the early versions of the machine carried, that is, the E and F series and the early machines of the G series.
A wheel is cast in one piece, so no mold parting line arises on the tire, which you would otherwise have to sand away around the whole circumference - and with it, as a rule, part of the tread pattern. The rendering of the sidewall and of the disc tends to be sharper on a casting than on a production plastic part. On the Bf 109 the size of the wheel is a distinguishing mark between early and late machines, one that those in the know take care over.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water to get rid of the mold release agent - paint does not hold on a greasy surface. Cut the casting blocks off with a modeling saw and level the surface with a file, so that the wheel sits square on the leg. Sanding is done wet and with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue; plastic cement has no effect on resin. Apply a primer before painting. Do not paint the tire pure black - on a model a dark gray shade with a light dusting of pigments looks more convincing, and the disc is masked with a circle of adhesive tape or with a template.
