1:32 F/A-18D Early Hornet by Red Fox Studio is a sheet of 3D decals for the two-seat cabin of the Hornet in the D version in its earlier form, from the Academy and Kinetic kits. A cockpit accessory, not a kit.

The D version is the two-seat variant of the Hornet from the later series, and the sheet is intended for the earlier form of its cabin from the Academy and Kinetic kits. It therefore covers two stations: the front pilot's one and the rear one behind it. The set does not fit the single-seat A and C versions, where there is only one seat in the cabin, and it likewise differs from the set for the later form of the same version.
The set deals with surfaces: the instrument panels and the side consoles, that is what is seen first in an open cabin. The seats, levers and other bulky parts remain up to you and to the kit. It is precisely in this combination that the set is strongest, because finished seats and a relief decal on the panel complement each other visually, whereas molded dials next to a carefully painted seat look unfinished.
Combining with the seats and belts
A procedure that has proved itself: first paint the whole cockpit tub and the seats, then settle the decals on the panels and consoles, and only at the end finish the belts and the small additions. Put the seats into the cabin only after the decals have dried, so that you do not catch them with tweezers while handling. If you make the belts from foil or tape, leave room for them and do not glue them over the printed edges, otherwise the relief under them will ripple. The last check belongs to a view from the side, because once the fuselage is closed you cannot get inside again.
This is a cockpit accessory, not an aircraft model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
