Ten bases 25 mm in size in a clear and at the same time hollow form. Transparent bases are used where the base should not be conspicuous, as the figure then visually stands directly on the gaming board or on the floor of a display case.
A clear surface calls for a different approach than an opaque one. Cyanoacrylate glue clouds transparent surfaces while curing with a white film that is practically impossible to get off a base. Glue sparingly, therefore, ideally with a thicker gel applied to the feet of the figure, and let the joint cure in a ventilated space. Wipe fingerprints off before they become visible under light.
When a clear base makes sense. It comes out best on a gaming board with a texture of its own, that is on a grass mat, on a map or on a board with a printed surface, where an opaque base would read as a patch. In a display case, by contrast, it merges with the surface underneath and the figure looks as though it is standing directly on it.
For players who want their bases to be as inconspicuous as possible, and for modelers building figures above the terrain or in an airborne pose. Neither the material nor the shape of the bases follows from the name.
