An injection-molded plastic kit of a scaled-down model of the Makino V33i vertical machining center, a CNC milling machine, in 1:20 scale from the Japanese maker FineMolds. It is not military equipment but a faithful model of a real industrial machine tool. The model makes it possible to build a detailed replica of the machine as a collector's and display piece. The contents of the package and any moving features follow the instructions in the box.
The Makino V33i is a vertical machining center, that is a precise CNC machine tool used in industry for milling and machining metal parts. It is made by the Japanese company Makino, one of the renowned makers of machine tools. The machine is marked by an enclosed working area, a spindle head and a work table, which the model captures in miniature.
Use thin cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. The larger smooth surfaces of the paneling are best given a primer first and painted with an airbrush, so that the technical, factory look of the machine comes out. Fine lettering and technical details can be brought out with decals and discreet weathering. Careful cleaning up of the parts will make sure the panels seat precisely.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
