A set of pilot seat belts for the Spitfire Mk.IX model in 1:24 scale, prepared for the Airfix kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX is one of the most widely built versions of the British single-seat fighter of the Second World War. In the large 1:24 scale the cockpit is open to view and the seat with its belts is its most conspicuous part, so it is worth taking care over it.
A set of seat belts for the pilot's seat of the Spitfire Mk.IX model in 1:24 scale. It is prepared for the Airfix kit, so the dimensions and the shape match that kit's interior. The exact number of parts, their make-up and the fitting procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions. The belts replace parts that the kit renders only in simplified form in the cockpit, and at a large scale they lift the overall impression of the finished model markedly.
Fit the belts only into a finished and painted interior, otherwise they will get clogged during painting. Dry-fit the seat in the cockpit first, so that you know where the belts will run. Lead them so that they drape naturally over the backrest and the sides of the seat, because a taut belt looks unnatural. Apply glue in spots and in small amounts, as excess is hard to remove. The exact type of glue suitable for these belts is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
