A set of color 3D decals for detailing the cockpit of the single-seat P-51H Mustang fighter in 1:48 scale. The decals are in relief and printed in color, they are glued directly onto the plastic interior parts and they replace hand-painting of the instruments. This is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for a model you buy separately.
The P-51H was the last production version of the Mustang and at the same time the lightest and fastest of the whole family. The designers lightened the fuselage, lengthened it and added a taller vertical tail surface; the powerplant was the Packard V-1650 with water injection for a short-term increase in output. Although the machines reached the units, they did not make it into the fighting in Europe. The cockpit of the P-51H differs in detail from the more widespread P-51D version, so a set made for this version tells during a build.
Degrease the cockpit parts and rid them of dust; the surface should be smooth. Soak the decal briefly in lukewarm water, let it release from the backing and slide it into place, fine-tuning the position with a soft brush. Blot the excess water away and let it dry thoroughly. Dose the softener a little at a time, so that the relief presses against the shape of the part and stays three-dimensional. Finish the interior before you glue the fuselage together.
