The GAZ-233014 Tigr is a Russian armored off-road car with an armored body, large wheels and a high ground clearance. It is used for reconnaissance, for carrying a squad and as a command vehicle, and thanks to the boxy build of its body it is among the rewarding subjects both for building a model and for a scene with figures.
Tint film for the transparent parts of a model in 1:35 scale, cut to the shape of the glazing of the GAZ-233014 Tigr kit. The film darkens the windows, so that the interior is not on view and the model gains the look of a vehicle with dark glass. That also deals with the interior, which could only be guessed at through the clear parts anyway.
First wash the transparent parts, degrease them and let them dry perfectly; under the film every speck of dust tells as a bubble. Separate the film from the sheet by its edge and carry it with tweezers, so that no fingerprints are left on the surface. Lay it on from one side and seat it gradually, so that no air is closed in under it. The exact application procedure is described in the manufacturer's instructions, so go by those.
For modelers who are building the Tigr in 1:35 scale and want to deal with the windows quickly and cleanly, without spraying and without touching the interior. The work is simple and calls only for a clean surface, tweezers and a quiet moment; it is worth doing before the model gets dusty in the course of the build.
