A set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks for the plastic model of the F-35A Lightning II fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory for painting: the masks cover the canopy glazing, and possibly the wheels, so that after spraying the transparent parts stay clean and the frames have sharp edges.

The real subject

The Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II is a single-seat fifth generation multirole fighter with features that reduce its radar signature. The A version is the land-based variant with a conventional takeoff and landing, operated by a number of air forces. Its characteristic one-piece hinged canopy makes high demands on clean masking.

Use

• Stick the mask onto the frame of the glazing and press it against the clean edge of the part.
• We recommend spraying the color of the inner frames first and the outer shade afterwards.
• Once the paint has dried, remove the masks carefully.
• The material follows the rounded surfaces of the canopy well.
