The set belongs to the series of figures that Master Box devotes to scenes from the Russian-Ukrainian war, and it carries the number eight within it. These are injection-molded plastic figures in 1:35 scale, that is in the same scale in which most models of armor and military vehicles are built. The figures capture the moment of treating a casualty in the field, so they give a scene a story that a vehicle or a terrain base on its own can never carry.
A medical service in the field works as close as possible to the place of injury: the task of a combat medic is to stop the bleeding, secure the airway and prepare the casualty for evacuation. The equipment such teams carry matches that, being a combination of ordinary field gear with medical bags and a stretcher. The composition of the set matches the current period of the conflict after 2022, when older and newer equipment serve side by side.
Glue the figures with a thin cement for plastic and sand the parting lines down before painting, otherwise they will stand out under the paint. The joint of the arms and the head with the torso gives the most work, because a visible gap arises there. Apply the primer in a thin coat so that the relief of the faces and the folds does not clog. Both skin and uniforms shade well with oil paints or a thin acrylic wash, and modern camouflage patterns are painted with a brush from dark to light. At the end match the figures to the base with pigments on the footwear and the knees, otherwise they will look as if they are merely standing in the scene.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
