Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the command conversion of the German Jagdpanzer 38 light tank destroyer in 1:35 scale. Command vehicles were told from ordinary machines mainly by their antennas and extended communications equipment, and it is precisely that difference which defines this kit. Dragon works the vehicles of this line with a fine part breakdown, so the model is rather for a modeler with experience.
The command version of the Jagdpanzer 38 tank destroyer was based on the standard vehicle built on a chassis derived from the Pz.Kpfw. 38(t) tank and produced from 1944 in Prague and at the Skoda works. The basic layout stayed the same: a low hull with heavily sloped plates, a 7.5 cm PaK 39 gun with a barrel length of 48 calibers in a ball mantlet and a crew of four. The command machines, however, additionally carried radio sets for directing a unit and the corresponding antenna equipment, which meant a loss of space for ammunition inside the cramped fighting compartment. The vehicles served with the commanders of tank destroyer platoons and companies at the end of the Second World War.
The antenna masts and their mountings are the most delicate parts of the build, so leave them until the end so that they are not broken off during handling. Paint the running gear and the interior details before you close up the hull. Use thin cement for plastic for gluing and apply a filling primer before painting. A multicolor late German finish comes out well with an airbrush at low pressure, and the transitions can be suggested with masking compound. Add a dark wash and dry pigments to the underside of the hull and the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
