Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American M1A2 SEP main battle tank in the small 1:72 scale. A smaller scale means a shorter build and less space in a display case, and at the same time Dragon keeps surprisingly fine detail in its 1:72 line. The model is a good choice if you want to put modern equipment together into a group of several vehicles without giving up a whole shelf to it.
The M1 Abrams is an American main battle tank introduced at the beginning of the 1980s, characterized by turbine power, composite armor and the angular silhouette of the turret. The M1A2 version brought a new fire control system and an independent commander's sighting system. The abbreviation SEP denotes an upgrade package that concentrated mainly on electronics: new thermal sighting, more powerful computing and improved command and control equipment, including changes to the internal layout of the turret. The vehicle carries a 120 mm smoothbore gun, and the crew consists of four men.
In 1:72 scale cleanliness of work decides more than the quantity of detail, so clean up the mold seams carefully and remove the flash before you start gluing. Use thin plastic cement and apply a thin filler primer, as a heavy coat would flood the small details. Modern American vehicles wear a uniform matte shade, so the result is made by gentle lightening of the upper surfaces and discreet accentuation of the panel gaps. Keep weathering in check, as in a small scale it looks overdone quickly; fine dust on the running gear and the lower surfaces is enough.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
