Hexagonal MDF bases 32 mm in size from Green Stuff World for figures used in games played on a hexagonal grid.
Responsibility details are not available.
Bases with a hexagonal plan 32 mm in size, cut from MDF board. The hexagonal shape fits game boards divided into hexagonal fields of the kind used by tactically tuned games with battle robots such as BattleTech. Compared with a round base, the edges give a figure a clearly set orientation, which comes in handy everywhere the range of fire or the direction of movement depends on how the model is turned.
How to prepare a base
MDF has an absorbent surface, so go over it with primer or thinned PVA glue before painting, otherwise the paint will draw into the material and the surface will stay fuzzy. Glue the figure with cyanoacrylate glue, and with heavier metal castings rather with two-part epoxy. The surface of the base can be filled, sprinkled with sand or set with small stones and grass tufts, so that the model blends in with the game board as well as with a display case.
For players of tabletop battle games on a hex board and for figure collectors who want their army on uniform bases. MDF is a strong material that will take frequent handling, and thanks to the flat underside the base does not slip on the board.
The bases are supplied unpainted and without figures. Glue, paints and material for terrain treatment are not included in the package.
