Paint Set - Spectral Army is a set of Green Stuff World acrylic paints for ghostly and incorporeal figures, where the model is meant to look translucent and cold.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of acrylic paints of the Green Stuff World brand for painting fantasy figures and wargaming models. They are water-thinnable acrylics for a brush, which after thinning can be sprayed with an airbrush as well. The name of the set refers to a spectral army, so it is aimed at ghosts, incorporeal beings and figures that are meant to look as though they were dissolving.
How acrylic paints work
Acrylic dries quickly, is thinned with water or acrylic thinner, and brushes are washed out with water after the work. Do not mix it with enamel or lacquer paints and do not thin it with cellulose thinner, as the chemistry does not agree and the paint curdles. The pigment settles to the bottom, so shake the bottle thoroughly before every use. Apply rather thin coats on a figure, so that the relief of the casting stays legible.
The set suits figure collectors who are building undead and spectral units and want the paints for one mood together. The spectral impression comes about through a smooth transition, where the lower part of the figure is the lightest and the color grows more saturated upward. The transitions are best done with heavily thinned paint in many thin coats, or with an airbrush. Before painting, lay a primer under the figure, and at the end unify the surface with matte varnish.
Keep out of the reach of children. When spraying with an airbrush, ventilate and use a respirator. Close the bottles properly after the work, so that the paint does not dry out.
