IBG models 1:72 Fw 190D-9 JABO/STURM Rocket Hunter is an injection-molded plastic kit of the late version of the German Focke-Wulf fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit captures the Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9, the so-called long-nosed Dora, in the version deployed in the fighter and fighter bomber role at the close of the Second World War. The box contains plastic parts and decals for several color schemes of Luftwaffe units from the last months of the war.
The Fw 190D-9 was created by fitting the proven Fw 190 with the inverted V12 Jumo 213 engine, which called for lengthening the nose and the rear fuselage. The result was a capable fighter with excellent flying qualities at higher speeds. In the fighting of 1945 it flew against Allied aircraft as well as in ground support.
Glue with liquid cement for plastic and sand the joints as you go. Fit and paint the cockpit before closing up the fuselage. Apply a primer and the camouflage with an airbrush; the characteristic late Luftwaffe finish is easier to manage by building the shades up in layers. Apply the decals over a glossy surface.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
