Masks for the landing gear bay spaces on a model of the Japanese Kawanishi N1K1-J Shiden fighter in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Kawanishi N1K1-J Shiden was created by converting the Kyofu floatplane into a land-based fighter. It kept the wing in the middle of the fuselage, so it needed an unusually tall main landing gear that shortened as it retracted. It is precisely the complicated landing gear and its bays that take the most work on a model of this aircraft.
Masks for the landing gear bay spaces in 1:72 scale. They cover the openings of the bays for the time the surrounding surfaces are sprayed, so that no overspray gets inside and the edge between the paint of the bay and the surface finish stays crisp. Compare the shapes with the model you are building.
The set suits the modeler who builds the Shiden in a small scale and does not want to cover intricate bays with hand-cut tape. It is a stand-alone masking set; the model, the paints and the glue are not supplied with it, unless stated otherwise.
