The real subject

The Lancia Delta S4 belongs among the best known Group B specials. In shape it does recall the production Delta, but it is a different car: the engine lies behind the crew, it drives all four wheels and it is force-fed by a supercharger together with a turbocharger, so the car pulls from low revs and at full throttle alike. The body stands on a tube frame and hinges open, and at the rear is a pronounced wing. The angular windows with their pronounced frame are precisely the place where careful work is told on a model.

What the set contains

These are masking templates cut into the shape of the frames around the windows in 1:24 scale. They are stuck onto the clear part, the color of the frame is sprayed over them and after they are taken off a straight sharp edge stays. Work tips

Wash the clear part with lukewarm water with detergent and let it dry off; on a greasy surface a mask does not hold and paint gets under the edge. Stick the mask on before spraying and press the edges down with the blunt tip of a toothpick. Apply the paint in thin layers and take the mask off shortly after spraying, while the layer has not cured completely. Peel it at an angle to the surface, so that the edge of the paint does not tear away with it.
