Masks for the landing gear bays of a model of the Japanese Yokosuka D4Y Suisei carrier bomber in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Yokosuka D4Y Suisei was a carrier dive bomber of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Against older machines in the same role it was slender and fast; the Allies used the code designation Judy for it. The set is listed for the D4Y1 to D4Y4 versions, that is for the whole family of the type.
Masks for the landing gear bays of a model in 1:72 scale. The parts of the mask are prepared in their finished shape and are laid in place, so cutting tape falls away. The boundary between the inside of the bay and the outer color stays crisp all the way around and you do not have to finish it with a brush. The individual D4Y versions differ, so compare the shapes of the masks with the parts you have before painting.
Wash and degrease the surface so that the mask holds. Apply it before spraying and press the edges down with a blunt tool, so that paint cannot flow under them. Spray several thin coats, not one heavy one; otherwise a step would build up at the edge. Lift the mask off as soon as the paint has set and look at the edge against the light. Choose the shade of the inside of the bay according to the references for the particular version; there is no single rule.
The aircraft kit, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
