Responsibility details are not available.
The injection-molded plastic kit in 1:24 scale from the Japanese Tamiya captures the rally legend Alpine Renault A110 in the form for the Monte Carlo Rally of 1971. The model faithfully carries over the compact body of the car and offers a finely rendered rear-mounted four-cylinder with a displacement of 1600 cc, a roll cage and a rally dashboard. In the package there are quality Cartograf decals, photo-etched details, rubber tires and precise parts capturing the car as the winner as well as another entrant in the event.
The Alpine A110 was a light sports coupe with a fiberglass body and a rear-mounted engine, which came to dominate world-level rallying at the turn of the 1960s and 1970s. At the Monte Carlo Rally of 1971 it put on a display of dominance, when the compact cars with rear-wheel drive and strong sixteen-hundred engines took the first three places. The A110 is to this day regarded as one of the icons of the golden era of rallying.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic, and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Build the blue base of the body on a primer, paint with an airbrush and finish with a clear coat and polishing. Lay the winning race numbers and the markings from the Cartograf sheet on a perfectly glossy surface and fix them with clear coat. Finish and paint the rear-mounted engine and the roll cage before closing the body. Fit the glazing and the lights at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
