The circuit-racing Calsonic Nissan Skyline GT-R BNR32 Gr.A 1992 at a ratio of 1:24 brings one of the best known color combinations of Japanese touring cars.
Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of the racing version of the Skyline GT-R with the body code BNR32 in the form the car carried in the 1992 season under the banner of its partner Calsonic. The reduction matches a ratio of 1:24, the size in which most circuit and road cars are collected.
The Skyline GT-R of the BNR32 generation became a practically unbeatable rival in the Group A category. The road basis was a car with the RB26DETT inline six fitted with two turbochargers and with all-wheel drive, which could send power to the front axle as needed. The combination of a striking blue and white, completed by the logo of the partner, is still one of the most easily recognized liveries on Japanese circuit cars.
The key is the order of the work: first a flawless surface, then the light base color and only at the end the darker area. Sharp divisions between the shades are masked with tape cut to size, ideally in sections. A gloss layer belongs on the finished paint, so that the markings do not reveal their edge anywhere. The chassis and the wheels deserve a spray of their own before they are joined to the body.
This is an unassembled plastic model; paints and the means of joining the parts are not included.
