The injection-molded plastic kit from the Japanese maker Aoshima captures the Lamborghini Countach in the so-called Walter Wolf pattern, specifically the second of those cars, from 1976. The 1:24 scale is among the most widespread for car models.
The Countach is a mid-engined supercar from the Italian brand Lamborghini with a V12 mounted longitudinally behind the crew, a wedge body from the Bertone studio and famous scissor doors. The Walter Wolf cars were special examples built to order for the Canadian businessman and formula racing team owner Walter Wolf. They differed from the production pattern mainly in a more aggressive aerodynamic package: widened fenders, a front spoiler and a conspicuous rear wing. It was that very look that later became the model for production versions with aerodynamic add-ons, which makes it one of the iconic moments in the development of the Countach.
A wedge body with large flat surfaces will not forgive even a small unevenness. Sand the seams carefully and apply filler primer before the color. Spray a saturated finish in thin coats and let them dry properly in between, or the paint will pool on the sharp edges. Fit the rear wing and the widened fenders dry until the glue sets, so that the model does not end up crooked. Mask the glazing and the headlights, leave the chromed parts in their original finish and glue them with glue for clear plastic. Finish the interior before you close the body up.
