An injection-molded plastic kit from the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa in 1:24 scale. The subject is the Honda N360 in the S version of the first series, which the designation N I sets apart from the later forms of the same car. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The N360 belonged to the Japanese class of the smallest cars, the so-called kei class. Honda entered it with a solution that drew on its experience with motorcycles: an air-cooled twin mounted at the front, front-wheel drive and a body in which four people fitted on such a small footprint. The car was lively for its size and at home it was among the favorites of its class. The letter S in the designation marks the more sportily tuned version, and N I marks the oldest series.
A small car means a small model, on which every mistake is visible at close range. Give particular care to cleaning up the parting lines on the body and paint in really thin coats, so that the fine relief of the lips and the grilles does not drown. Rather mask the chrome frames and bumpers than touch them in afterward. Finish the interior and the dashboard before closing the body; on a car with a large glazed area you can see well into the cabin. The wheels with their fine rims deserve a clean black base and a dry brush over the molded detail of the tires.
